 (a) (b) Usefulness of OMS: OMS is a plug-in in QGIS and it means different feature data easily accessible to use in GIS project. All we need is to search for the feature we need such as cafes in Hong Kong. However, As we can see from the print out map that the data from OMS may not be always accurate. From our life experience, we know that there are many cafes in Hong Kong, but only those cafes in Kowloon and New Territories are not shown in amenity_cafe_HongKong by OMS. Therefore, while using the OMS, we should be aware of its accuracy.

 

(a)  (b) This website ( the Common Spatial Data Infrastructure ( https://portal.csdi.gov.hk/geoportal/ )   makes a wide arrange of datasets easily accessible to the general public. The last updated time and the exact government department that prepared the datasets can be seen on this website, which enhances the credibility of the datasets and allows users to know how updated the information is.
